That's true. And riding on dry days decreases the life
of your tire's studs. I've decided to keep two
wheel-sets, one with studded and one with out. I can
easily swap these out depending on the conditions on
the given day. Of course one could always build up a
dedicated winter bike and forget the wheel-swaping.
