If I could recommend one piece of gear to any
cold-weather rider, it would be the Outdoor Research
windstopper helmet liner. It covers your ears and your
head with double-sided windstopper fleece and fits
perfectly under your helmet -if you're wearing one.
Price: less than $20.

***At 20 degrees?

feet: sidi shoes, wool socks.

legs: legwarmers pulled just below the knee, jeans or
pants.

torso & arms: cotton t-shirt, cotton hooded
sweatshirt, craft windstopper jacket.

head: louis g. skull cap, out door research
windstopper helmet liner, hood of sweatshirt.

hands: pearl izumi lobster claws.

***At 0 degrees?

feet: same as above + homemade windstopper toe cozies.

legs: same as above but i pull the leg warmers uo over
my thighs.

torso & arms: same as above but i add a long sleve
wool jersey between the tshirt and the sweatshirt.

head: same as above but i trade a craft balaclava for
the skull cap.

hands: same as above but with a thin pair of wool
liner gloves underneath.


***At 20 mph winds?

same as above.
