I agree with you Mike. Yes. I believe that the issues
you stated are issues of significance and should be
addressed as such. One of the things that makes you an
asset to the cycling community in Madison is your
commitment to pursuing city planning and borad
environmental issues which so concern you and which
are clearly an integral part of bicycle advocacy.
Having said that, blasting Mike R. in the way that you
did, for the reasons you did, based on the context and
the intent of his email was not only out of line (this
may not be an etiquette listserv but there is such a
thing as listserv etiquette) but also completely
counter productive. How can you expect someone to be
open to listening to what you have to say, much less
choosing to respond to it, when you come at them right
of the gate with an accusatory tone?
