The media doesn't even cover positive events like the Horribly Hilly Hundreds (well, except the Isthmus), so I'm not surprised that they're not noticing these accidents. With le Tour going on now, I've noticed more cyclists (inspired?) out and about. It seems like it'd be a good story to tie in le Tour, the cycling community in WI and events here, and reminders to be more aware of the types of traffic out there on the roads.

Other cities have bans on cellphone use while driving, why not Madison? Or is that too "out there," in terms of restricting personal freedom, in a state that has no helmet law?

These "accidents" seem to be happening fast and furiously lately. You would think the media would notice. If we can find out about these incidents, certainly they can.

Any idea if it was still light out? I'd like to know what light and weather conditions are in these cases, and where the bicylists were headed, what the roads are like, etc.
