If anybody's going to this and has room for another rider (and bike) I would like to join you.  would be happy to share expenses.  I would also be willing to go in on a van rental if others are interested.

A Celebration of Cycling Simplicity - A Gathering of New Friends

To be held on the grounds of The Village at Grand Traverse Commons - over 700,000 sq ft of historic buildings on 35 acres of grounds are being renovated by The Minervini Group into Traverse City's walk-able community of residential, retail, and commercial spaces. This is a State and Federal Renaissance Zone and a State Historic site.
- Visit beautiful northern Michigan, socialize and ride with fixed gear riders from all over the world.
- Info and area maps to points of interest will be provided for spouses and non-riders.

EXPO TENTS: Available for framebuilders, manufacturers, bike shops, and equipment suppliers - all three days. Demonstrations pending, please return to this page for more information about exhibitors and demonstrations as they are added.

VENUE TENT: A place to congregate, for rides to depart from, and a place to lounge and talk.

FRIDAY
12:00 on: Registration, pick-up packets including maps for short self-guided Friday afternoon rides and other area information.
7:00 pm Depart: Friday evening bike ride though historic neighborhoods with a stop at "Friday Night Live" in downtown Traverse City.
9:30-Midnight: Live music, djbean, plus pending slide or video presentations.

SATURDAY
6:00 am: Orange juice, coffee, rolls at Venue Tent.
7:30 am - Noon: Saturday fixed gear ride through picturesque Leelanau County.
1:00 - 6:00 pm FG Fun - schedule to follow.
a) Expo demonstrati ons.
b) Track Stand Contest.
c) Bob's Alley Cat Race. (you're not gonna want to miss this one)
d) 2 Person Ride'n'Tie Race. (or other crazy events)
e) Mechanic's Race - Timed event - how fast can you assemble a complete bike?
f) 'Take A Hike' - enjoy a leisurely stroll up to the radio tower at Grand Traverse Commons.
7:00 - Midnight
a) Saturday evening Banquet and music on the Lawn.
b) Fixed Gear Bike Concours.
c) Raffle and Prize Drawings - Pending slide or video presentations.

SUNDAY
6:00 am: Orange juice, coffee, rolls at Venue Tent.
7:30 am - noon: Sunday morning fixed gear ride out to the Old Mission Peninsula.
1:00 pm: Event ends with a post ride snack and beverages at the venue,and a hearty adieu to
all of your new friends.
