Hello Biking Friends! August 16th "History Sandwiched In" program will feature Richard Schwinn, co-founder of Wisconsin-based custom bicycle builder Waterford Precision Cycles. Richard will guide us through the history of the bicycle. A compelling story of passion, drama and the triumph of man and this most ingenious machine. Suggested donation $2.00
"History Sandwiched In" is a lunch time program, bring your bag lunch, begins at 12:15 and ends approximately 45 mins later. Yep, it's the same day the our Congresswoman is riding south on our trails, but if you can't take off that much time, join us for Richard Schwinn's talk during lunch. Special hours on Sunday August 21st, 11 am - 2 pm! Ride your bike down to the Wisconsin Historical Museum on the Square and tour the WisconsINnovation exhibit. Arrive by noon, when Harry Spehar of Trek will discuss his experience with Trek and riding their prototype Mountain Bike at the Whiskeytown Downhill in 1983. Additional bike racks will be available in front of the museum for your parking pleasure. Free energy bars and Gatorade. Donations welcomed. RSVP suggested call 264-6555. See you at the Museum!
