She first learned how to drive a car in late 2002 after my son and she got married.
Betty is from Medellin, Colombia and only used buses, walking or rides from others for transportation. She also used the city's rail transit.
They live in Oregon, WI. Unfortunately most of their biking is recreational, but they do bike to breakfast on many Saturdays. Betty is now pursing an MS in Bio-technology at UW, while working full time as a Chemical Engr at a local bio-tec firm.

Subject: [Bikies] Fwd: Bikeleague - National Magazine Story On Learning How
To Ride
Anyone know of someone who might fit this bill (so to speak)?
-Mike
>
>Dear Michael,
>
>A reporter from a major national magazine has contacted the League.
>The reporter is doing an inspirational story on people who learn
>skills later in life than most, and is specifically looking for a
>woman who learned how to ride a bike in her twenties. While many have
>re-learned how to ride a bike in their twenties, she needs someone
>that truly never had a bike as a kid. Because deadlines are always
>immediate --- she would like to know by 3 p.m. EST today. If you know
>of anyone, please email League director of communications director
>Elizabeth Preston at [EMAIL PROTECTED] -- it will be a short
>30-minute interview, and probably a photograph.
>
>Thank you for your assistance.
>
>Sincerely,
