This brief article from Wired Online discusses technical advancements in
bicycle design for extreme high-speed HPVs. The gist is that big recent
advancements have accrued from better understanding of "laminar flow
aerodynamics" and the design of software that generates bicycle designs
based upon that new science. (Surprising to me, that-- I'd have thought
that the big research action was in materials.)
