As a worker in the health care industry (a competitor to GHC) I can say with some experience that health care organizations will listen to their physicians above all (when/if their physicians desire a change)... in fact it may have been physician input that concentrated these therapies in Fitchburg. You need to take your case to your physician and have him/her make arrangements for your transportation and/or get approval for the therapies to be done at more convenient locations.
Of course, there are plenty of alternative locations for this type of diagnostic imaging and therapy conveniently located downtown - operated by GHC's competition. It doesn't help you for your current situation, but may help you choose at the next open enrollment. HMOs, PPOs, and medical insurance companies WANT active bicycling lifestyles in their pools of coverage. A bicyclists' departure from their coverage umbrella should be noticed. -----Original Message----- Sent: Thursday, January 05, 2006 7:31 PM To: Bikies List Subject: [Bikies] Calling Car-Free Members of Group Health Cooperative [snip] GHC--It's Where You Belong . . . .
