Happened to me. Summer 2002, if memory serves. Crossing E. Doty at S.
Pinckney. Car in
right traffic lane stopped for me. Parkcop Jeep following passed him IN THE
RIGHT CURB
LANE, and continued eastbound. This was about TWO DAYS after we (all City
employees) got
a printed memo from the Mayor's office (which happens about once every
third blue moon
ice age) admonishing us to be mindful of pedestrians in crosswalks,
especially when
driving city vehicles. Fortunately, the cop shop is right downstairs from
my office.
Unfortunately I was way late for training that day, and couldn't report it.
