How about some practical consumer information on cars? Today we
only have a pretty much meaningless EPA miles-per-gallon sticker
(that doesn't take into account driving habits, manufacturing and
disposal costs, highway and parking infrastructure, and a host of
other social and environmental related issues).

We need product labeling according to their true social price tags.
Something like the EnergyStar rating but incorporating all costs.
Maybe call it the GreenStar? A Hummer would be at the negative end
of the spectrum, and a naked pedestrian at the postive end. (Yes,
there is a small environmental cost to manufacture bicycles and
spandex shorts).

If I were king of the world, we'd have all this
truth-in-advertising stuff straightened out.
