Now in its fifteenth year, the Louis Reed Ripon Ten Mile Time Trial will be run this Sunday morning at 8:15 from the South-side Barlow Park in Ripon, Wisconsin, just sixty miles from Madison. Ripon is just six miles from Green Lake. What is unique about our race and the reason we began the event, was to have a type of race for all riders and all bicycles. It is carefully timed, but a racer is only against himself. It is a small friendly event with most of the same participants. Those from a distance enjoy the RiponFest parade and events later in the day. Along with our philosophy of a race for everybody, there is no charge nor "pre-registration." So, set your alarm clocks on Sunday morning and take the short drive to Ripon and become a regular in our race named after our Ripon Champion record holder from the "First Bicycle Craze" of the eighteen nineties. This event is on the calendar for July in Silent Sport and has been so for all the fifteen years.
