A friend of mine who has one foot (or more) still in car culture was
recently about to renew her membership in AAA, because of the age and condition
of her deathmobile. I told her that I had read about a few alternatives to
AAA, i.e., places that do the same emergency car repair things without pouring
millions into promoting highways and trashing mass transit. Does anyone
know specifics I can forward to her?
