This event may have already been posted to bikies, but the intro
message I'm sure has not. It came off of the East Isthmus
Neighborhood Planning Council's listserv.

2. DESIGN WORKSHOP: Orchard/Garden in memory of Jessica Bullen
Posted by: "Pamela Hathaway" [EMAIL PROTECTED] hathawayp
Date: Wed Sep 27, 2006 11:35 am (PDT)
Jessica was a volunteer with East Isthmus Neighborhoods Planning Council, a
resident of Tenney-Lapham neighborhood and passionate community leader in
many ways. EINPC began a leadership award in her honor at last year's
Community Forum called "Coming out of the Shell". As a southsider, Quann
gardener and most of all a friend of Jess' I'm helping to put on this
charette and thought some of you might be interested in attending for any
number of reasons.
All are welcome. The workshop is Part I of a 2-part series.
Best,
Pamela Hathaway

WHAT: Quann Gardens is sponsoring a workshop to gather ideas for a
memorial garden honoring the late Jess Bullen, a leader and gardener
at Quann Community Garden. Jess was a biking, gardening and community
activist in the Madison area. The proposed garden will likely feature
an orchard in a peaceful setting, located in the triangle next to
Quann Garden, bordered by Quann Garden and Koster Street.
WHEN: Saturday, September 30, 10 - 11:30 AM
WHERE: Villager Mall, Suite 1-D, 2300 South Park Street
WHO: Anyone is welcome to attend!
The workshop will be led by Dr. Sam Dennis of UW Madison, who will
develop the garden plan based upon ideas generated at the workshop. A
follow-up meeting will be held in November to review the draft plan.
