But, there's good news out there. Has everybody noticed the one- block counter flow bike path on the n. henry block between dayton and state? It may be 25 years later than it should have been, but we've all heard it said, better late than never.

Yes, that new double-yellow stripe on N. Henry is a nice change. An acknowledgement of the reality - bicyclists were pretty much constantly taking that short distance against the one-way for as long as it has been a one-way.

A very welcome change. Is it permanent?

Another acknowledgement of reality would be to add a counter flow on the Crazy Legs Lane one-way (that idiotic short cut-through and pedestrian hazard on the greenspace triangle at Regent St. / Monroe St. / Little St. / Breese Terrace). The counter flow should be extended down Oakland Ave. for 1 block to Madison St. while we're at it. (Now that the railroad crossing is long gone, I hope it is in the city's plans to completely redesign that intersection.)

Why not just make Oakland two-way again? I seem to recall seeing proposals for redesigns at one point, which I assume are in process. Anyone know whether they're available to view online?

While we're in that neighborhood, I've been meaning to mention that the Southwest path's surface was damaged by the contractors during the reconstruction of the Edgewood avenue bridge. I'm wondering whether there are any plans to fix it? Also looks like the drainage ditch on the north side of the path is above grade, so I fully expect a few ice skaters will be joining us on that section very soon.

For anyone from the city who might be reading, the work crews appear to have forgotten a number of orange road work signs along the path between Commonwealth and Breeze Terrace.
