E.2: SUBSTITUTE - Approving Geometrics for Monona Drive from W. Broadway to Station 59+00, a point approximately 250 feet south of the Pflaum Road/Nichols Road intersection. (16th AD / City of Monona) The LRTPC just reviewed/approved this last night, here is the quick-n-dirty on the project: - The plan was created through a City of Monona committee having strong local business representation. - Local businesses have been encroaching on the the public right of way for years, and paying no fee to the county. * * The plan calls for 4 foot wide (from lane/gutter boundary to inside of lane stripe) bike lanes along both sides of Monona Drive. * * - Resolving the issue of the roundabout at the Pflaum/Nichols intersection is delayed by limiting the scope of this phase of the reconstruction to an area outside of the intersection.
