Ah, but the fact that the DOT Sec is appointed by the gov means it _is_ an 
election issue. If you're gonna take Michael's point, and write before election 
day, CC Diamond Jim, so both he and the Sec. understand that your eyes are on 
this issue as the election nears.

(BTW, since when are Doyle and Green the only candidates? Oh, yeah, since they 
both blew off the non-partisan LVW debates, and opted for the 
corporate-sponsored "We the People" love-fest which conveniently excluded any 
candidates with anything really different to say....)
