As eloquent an argument as can be to either eliminate those beepers or make them optional. The person who invented those beepers, which are 99% harassment and 1% warning, should be _____ (fill in the blank). If someone cannot tell there is a truck or whatever nearby by either the noise or the sight, I'm sure the beep won't help. My personal worst experience with them is lying in bed recovering from cancer and hearing the beeps start at 7 a.m. from Bobcats running up and down a completely torn-up Bashford Street. Those beepers could certainly have been turned off without endangering anyone.
