The candidates for Mayor will gather at one of the few forums before the
primary on Wednesday, February 7, from 6:30-8:00 .
They will answer three different types of questions:
· Open ended questions with one minute allotted to each
candidate for an initial answer and then an additional 30 seconds for
follow-up/rebuttal.
· "Speed round I": yes/no/pass, where they will be asked to
respond with a simple yes or no and offered ten seconds to explain their
answer
· "Speed round II": multiple choice, where they will be provided
two or more choices, some fun, many quite serious.
Time permitting, additional questions will be solicited from the audience.
Moderator Judy Olson will periodically check in with the audience,
asking them to indicate, by show of hands, whether they think the
candidates are answering the questions and whether they like the answers
given.
Progressive Dane Elections Committee chair Michael Jacob, with
assistance from six year old Corey Jacob, will serve as time keeper.
This is an important chance to hear from the candidates who seek to
guide Madison for the ext four year," says the older Jacob. "We expect
the forum to be informative and entertaining, helping Madison's
residents decide who should advance to the general election."
