Reminds me of this story that happened a few years ago:

Cyclist gets buzzed, sees the motorist pull into a driveway shortly
thereafter, goes to talk to the motorist - gets a citation for
disorderly conduct (for spitting on the a ford bronco), no mention of
the Motorist's traffic violation in the police report.  The police said
they couldn't issue a citation for the traffic violation because the
motorist did not confirm the bicyclist's side of the story.


On the current story, there's still a chance the judge will throw out
the citation for lack of evidence.
