This happens because a lot of Madison baristas work for Mother Fool's or Cafe Zoma or EVP instead of Starbucks. They force Starbucks customers to wait on long lines because they feel more "virtuous" working for an independent.
We have to find a way to *require* basistas to work for Starbucks so the *real people* can get their coffee on time.
