Expanding the state highway system to accommodate even more driving is
the exact opposite of what the state ought be doing to reduce these
health risks.  The state needs to encourage less motor vehicle driving,
not continue to plan for more even more of it.

Air Quality Watch in Effect 
The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is issuing an air quality
watch for 23 counties in the southeastern and south central Wisconsin
effective tomorrow, Tuesday, June 26, 2007. The counties covered by this
watch are Brown, Calumet, Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Door, Fond du Lac,
Green, Jefferson, Kenosha, Kewaunee, Manitowoc, Milwaukee, Outagamie,
Ozaukee, Racine, Rock, Sauk, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, Waukesha
and Winnebago.
