Dear Mitchell, You failed to point out that I also concluded there was not a criminal "motive" as such, yet Aaron pointed to the action as criminal. This is what I said. <"As Aaron points out, what was done to him by the occupants of a white truck was felonious. One thinks of city crime as when someone is robbed or "rolled" in the big city. And this seeming motiveless act is not that.">
But you bring up an interesting sociological question about what seems to be motiveless action. You suggest this is the caliber of the current University of Wisconsin "student" who launched a beer can at you and perhaps shoved Aaron. Of course you used the diminutive term---"fratboy." And this shows your prejudice in the matter. In my day there was friction between those in college and those going into the work force instead. And maybe that exists or doesn't exist in these days of low college standards. It was simply college boys and "townies" back then and both went to their chosen separate beer bars to socialize. I would expect there was friction, particular coming from those who considered themselves--the "have nots" or "under privileged." But Madison IS a UNIVERSITY AND GOVERNMENT town. If your contention that those with total disregard and obvious hostility are enrolled at Wisconsin and, in fact members of fraternities, that would be the "underprivileged" "THEORY"------turned upside down. I am anxious to hear the outcome. Eric _______________________________________________ Bikies mailing list [email protected] http://www.danenet.org/mailman/listinfo/bikies
