Here's an opportunity for Wisconsin citizens and organizations to
recommend state policies and funding solutions to curb Wisconsin's
emissions of greenhouse gases and contributions to global warming. Any
strategies that curtail fuel burning, reduce paving of the landscape or
prevent (or slow) the release of other heat-trapping gases to the
atmosphere will help reduce Wisconsin's inputs to global warming.

For example, policies that encourage conservation of energy in homes and
business; bicycling; walking, use of mass transit, car pooling, living
closer to work, highway expansion, etc., will all help reduce Wisconsin's
overall contributions to net increases of greenhouse gas accumulations in
the atmosphere every year, which are known to be causing the earth at the
surface to heat up.

Neither DNR nor the others took the solutions which I proposed 7 years
ago seriously (URLs provided below); nevertheless, I intend to make this
same proposal to them again on August 6th in Madison.
