Dear Group,

Again, I speak only in conjecture. But if messages about sharing the
roads with bicyclist, walkers, and runners do exist, there should be a
canvass of the TV and radio stations about their policies and costs.
There is a good reason why PSAs fill the early morning hours while most
people sleep. Possibly I am wrong that the stations put these on to
fill their unsold hours of advertising and recoup as best they can as a
tax charity write-off.

But actually these nighowl people might be just the people who,
themselves have not thought much about the "silent sports" and our
roadways. And probably the "off hour" psas have more interesting
content than the "all night" programming now running.

But if stations would pick these spots as actual "public service" then
more into the prime time can be negotiated as "budgets" might develop in
the future. Someone must know about media stations actual tax
write-offs and policies in this area?

Eric
