Another thing that came up in its plan is dealing with the bike lane that ends
somewhere east of Paterson--is it Brearly? Another thing that came up at the
Long-Range Transportation Planning Commission (LRTPC) meeting is the idea of
using Mifflin St. as a "bicycle boulevard." This would impose some creative
motorist deterrence rather than the law-abiding bicyclist-deterring stop signs
at almost every intersection. If that came to be, Mifflin could draw some bike
traffic--wouldn't help the people going to Sherman, though.

BTW, the LRTPC will be discussing this again at its August meeting. Anyone
with suggestions for questions for Traffic Engineering staff, which, very
curtly, rejected the "two-waying" of Johnson/Gorham can post them here.

Hm, any ideas what impact this would have on the bike lanes?
