Your friend's description wasn't entirely clear on their state of distress as
the other bicyclists rode by; certainly a bike down and a rider in a dazed or
pained look would be of immediate concern to me and I'd have stopped.  On the
other hand, if your friend was simply sitting at the side of the path, with no
obvious discernable pain or problem, I might not have noticed, especially with
the distracting amount of information to pay attention to at the John Nolan /
Williamson / Wilson intersection.  Besides no bicyclists stopping to render
aid, I must point out that none of the people driving cars, who must have
witnessed the crash, got out of their cars and offered help either.  I'm not
making excuses, some kind of aid or concern should have been offered.

Other cyclists passed me with long looks, but did not stop to 
help. I stopped 50 yrds away from the intersection to recover on the side of
