This would be awesome!! Another thing that will need to be dealt with if E. Mifflin St. becomes a bike boulevard is the presence of Madison Dairy on the 1000 block. This is a 24-7 operation and trucks turn off of Ingersoll onto Mifflin to turn in to the Dairy. At times it is quite congested with tractor-trailers arriving and departing. While the parking lot entrance could likely be reconfigured without too much trouble, the existing main loading dock is on Mifflin.
Not insurmountable, but something to consider. The Dairy has, in the past, shown a willingness to work with the community, although they have their limits. Before I moved to Sheboygan, I worked with them to alter some of their operations to improve the quality of life in the adjacent neighborhood (they were my neighbors).
