Thanks for the responses and support to the Aaron Weiler Bike Cart
Workshop.  It looks to be a promising event with food,  hands-on work, and a
bicycle maintenance chat!  Look near the end of the email for more events
he's in.
Permission was granted from Lothlorien Co-op for the event to be hosted on
their rear patio space Sunday afternoon.  Aaron has confirmed he'd like to
build two flatsy design carts, one regular and one having a "chariot" hitch
(one that attaches to the seat post instead of the rear axle.)

11am          Lothlorien Brunch Meet & Greet.  If you want to help with
setup and cooking, email me please.
***Bring a dish to pass, interest in bicycles and networking and excitement
to learn about welding carts(and other things) together!

Noon- 5pm   Bike Cart Workshop.  Aaron will go into detail on designing and
putting together his bike cart ideas.

5-6pm          Bicycle Maintenance Tips from your friendly Freewheel Bike

If you can lend, donate, or share at the workshop any of the requested items
below, please email me by Thursday afternoon!.  Right now we are in need of:

Thinwall EMT 1/2" conduit bender with extension handle
vice
1/8" and 3/8" metal drill bit and drill
8" half round file, or something like that
brass brazing rod, flux, gloves, eye protection (as many goggles as
possible!!)
bricks or flat metal surface
A vehicle to transport the Oxy/Acetylene torch from Revolution Cycles to
Lothlorien and back.

Materials: for "flatsy" cart
[Multiply by two for building two carts]

(4 lengths) 10ʼ 1/2" thinwall EMT conduit
1"X1"X3/16" angle iron, 8" per cart

Jig for Dropouts (use for future carts) ($4)
(1) 3/8" -16 threaded rod, 3 feet long
(8) 3/8" -16 nuts
(8) 3/8" washers

Miscellaneous and can be found for free
plywood for bed: 1/2" to 5/8" thick. 20" x 35"
exterior enamel paint for metal and wood
two 20" wheels, preferably front BMX wheels
