Dear Group, When I was on my local government council--(village board) our part time policeman ran our village speed trap. We are on a State highway and it runs right through the village. They moved the village limits out into what seems "the country." Then the policeman parked behind a commercial building with his radar pointed at the stretch of the State road as it exited the village. When motorists thought they had passed through our village and accelerated, they were ticketed. Our policeman was so happy by his revenue numbers he was assuming he would become full time and be able to buy new gizmos. Unfortunately, he began to ticket "village board members" like other people and only then was his enthusiasm reigned in.
