Ok, everyone, it's election season again! Here is the first request
for help on behalf of one of (if not *the*) most progressive
supervisor on the county board, Al Matano.
I can't say enough about how Al has been at the forefront of every
fight to rein in sprawl and promote sane, civilized transportation.
He's been excellent on a whole host of other issues as well. But he
is one of us--a commuting cyclist, a long-distance rec cyclist, the
works.
Here's your chance to help him out this weekend......
-Mike
Greetings:
Another winter election cycle and I have an opponent. Yay for democracy!
It's going to be a balmy 30 degrees this coming weekend. After doing
doors all this past weekend, I know I'm pulling out my summertime
garb.
Anyway, we're trying to get an early start on the campaign, with the
first lit drop of the season!
So... please help me by distributing my first lit piece - other than
the "doors" piece I've been distributing - of this young campaign
season.
This coming Saturday, January 26: 10:00 to noon.
or
Sunday: 11:00 to 1:00
Please?
At:
my house
3745 Ross St. at Glenway
2 blocks north of the intersection of Mineral Point, Speedway, and Glenway.
Look for "Al Matano for County Board" signs by the driveway.
Please?
Bagels and coffee will be served. Informal attire.
All my best, and thanks!
Al Matano
