Dear BFW Board and Staff:
A huge thanks to the Bike Fed for staff assistance and the GIANT truck that you
loaned to Wheels for Winners on Saturday. The truck and David's physical labor
(and any other staff that I might have missed seeing) helped make a week's
worth of work into a half day.

A crisis like the one at Wheels for Winners with the flood, subsequent conflict
with our landlord, and need to move quickly could have easily ended our
organization. With less than a $12,000 per year budget, Wheels relies solely on
the labor of volunteers. The last two months have been an incredible strain on
our seven member working board and has required us and our stable of other
volunteers to work long hours doing all kinds of things many of us have never
had to do before. Instead of destroying the organization though, I think the
move will strengthen Wheels. We have a higher profile location now, and many
of us, though weary, are more dedicated than ever before to assuring that
Wheels stays a strong member of the community for many years to come.

Bicycle Federation's assistance is greatly appreciated, and shows your ongoing
commitment to promoting bicycling at the local level, and also your dedication
to the Thunderhead Alliance's Community Bike Initiative.

Thank you for your help.
Dar Ward, Wheels for Winners Board Treasurer on behalf of the entire Wheels for
Winners Board of Directors and Volunteers
