At the end of 2008, Diane Brown will be leaving her position as Associate
Director at the UW Transportation Services. I strongly encourage anyone with
an interest in intermodal transportation, who has managerial experience, and
an interest in an advanced position within the state system to consider
applying for the job.
Diane's position has traditionally overseen the customer service, special
events, citations, permits, and finance end of the transportation department.
The job is at a high level, though, and the candidate will, not doubt, have a
strong say in their day-to-day activities and responsibilities. Her personal
style has tended to focus on the human resources end of things in the
department. In short...this position deals heavily with parking...but it would
still be great to get someone in the job who is supportive of transportation
options like walk, bike, bus, carpool, etc. Transportation Services is
striving towards an ever more multi-modal campus.
