Greetings friends and neighbors, My name is Michael Shinners. I'm the Brentwood Village Neighborhood Association rep. to the Northside Planning Council. I met w/ our district 12 alder, Satya, last week. She is planning to host several public meetings over the next year or so re: bike/ped access on N. Sherman Ave. to find out what the northside community would like to see on N. Sherman. She thought the first public meeting might happen in June or July. Satya said she has gotten a number of emails inquiring about bike access on Sherman. Together w/ Mike Basford I'm hosting a meeting at my house [2206 Calypso Rd] on Tuesday May 13 at 7pm. The purpose of the meeting is to gauge community interest re: Sherman bike/ped access and, if there is enough interest, do some initial planning on how we might address this.
