Hello, My name is Ahna Bizjak and I am the Transportation Engineer for the City of Fitchburg. I am sending you this e-mail to notify you of an upcoming Open House for the draft 2008 Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. JN Design and Planning has prepared an update to the 2000 Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan and the draft plan is now ready for public comment. Please share this information with any others who may be interested and encourage their attendance at this meeting! What: Open House for the 2008 Bicycle and Pedestrian System Plan When: Wednesday, May 21, 6:30-8 PM Where: Council Chambers at Fitchburg City Hall The plan consists of recommendations for improved bicycle and pedestrian transportation systems, including bicycle parking facilities. Two maps have been prepared, one for the pedestrian system and one for the bike system, which illustrate both the existing and proposed facilities for walking and biking. Please come see what is being proposed in your neighborhood - or provide suggestions for things that should be considered that may not already be identified in the draft document.
