Hello all, Very sorry to hear of today's accident...it's a tough tough intersection. A few years ago when I had the listing of the Essen Haus site, the development group that had an option on the site at the time proposed some fantastic improvements to that intersection...including a traffic lighted roundabout that would significantly improve bike and pedestrian safety, as well as improvements that would have improved lakefront access to the neighborhood...not to mention traffic flow and directional improvements....down the line, if the opportunity presents itself again (it's in a TIF district) that should be looked at again. It is a main "gateway" to Madison's center...but not a well designed one for most types of users. Random thoughts....37 degrees at the beginning of my ride this am around 630...sheesh! Troy Thiel
