Even tho I know this area (I work down at Main and Brearly) I've often found
myself driving past M.R., expecting a driveway at the other end of the
building. Maybe I'll ride by there on the lunch break... but maybe there is
SOME way to cut a driveway at the other other end? Or how about a turn lane or
two further back John Nolen to enter the parking lot.

I see where the city cut a turn lane into the burgeoning and ugly development
at Midvale and Tokay (across the boulevard Island). I'm sure this sort of thing
takes a committee of 20-40 very important people several years to decide on,
but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure (is that how that goes??)

Reminds me of intersections where accidents occur and people are
injured/killed... as if a quota has to be filled before the stop sign is
installed. I pass this area 2X daily... when will it be me?

This incident - again, the second is less than two
weeks - only further highlights the need for
improvements to the intersection, particularly with
regard to the two turn-offs which cross the bike path.
Indeed, both the motorist, the cyclist, and the two
witnesses, all commented on the intersection, using
words like, "ridiculous", "confusing", and
"dangerous".
