While there is a designated bike route between Cottage Grove Road and Buckeye Road, this is much further east (providing a bike route north towards East Towne) than the proposed Capital City Path location (providing a bike route towards downtown). What is being proposed is an interim extension of the existing and planned future Capital City Path that will stay as close as possible to the preferred rail corridor alignment.
