I know several people have talked to me about making sure that the new
zoning code includes better information on bicycle parking. Actually,
I think they are looking at changing the code for parking of all
sorts.

Also, if you have language that you want me to forward, I can do so,
although you can also send it directly to Rick Roll - contact info
below.

For instance, Matt Tucker - the Zoning Administrator, really wants
clear language on the types of racks that can be used. Another area is
getting clear guidelines inserted in the new code about needing
visitor parking as well as resident/employee parking. Also, the code
should be clear on the fact that a storage locker is not sufficient or
appropriate bicycle parking for a residential unit.

Obviously, many people on this list also have ideas of other areas
that should be changed in the zoning code. Please speak up -
preferably directly to the city staff that are putting this together,
but I can forward information to them as well.

The primary focus of these meetings will be on the draft annotated
outline for the new zoning code which will be presented by Cuningham
Group Architecture, P.A., the City's zoning code rewrite lead
consultant.  Final agendas for the meetings will be available shortly.
 I will send these out as soon as they are available.
