Last time I checked,, the Jenny street reconstruction was poorly signed for bicyclists. I would suggest the city put in place some obvious direction signs to a convenient alternative route to get to the capitol and nolan path from jennifer street. This might also be an opportunity to put up some temporary signs reminding bicyclists of their obligations when passing other road/sidewalk users.
I view the stretch of the cap city trail cited below as an inferior choice for experienced cyclists due to pedestrian activity, right-of-way confusion, and the ongoing engineering issues (at the interection joints) that prevent bicyclists from enjoying the type of road surface generally provided for motorists. > -------- Original Message -------- > "I was plowed over this morning by two cyclists on the sidewalk. > Jenny street is having major work done.
