Thanks for the link to your blog. I was startled by one of the comments (copied 
below).I also
found this in their city ordinances:

"(7) Whenever a usable path for bicycles has been provided adjacent to a 
roadway, bicycle riders shall
    use such path and shall not use the roadway"

That can't be legal, can it? 

Paging Tom Huber! these guys need a serious talking to. 

I don't 'give up my rights as a cyclist' (whatever that means) if I choose not 
to ride their stupid bike lane.
