The path swings to the SW through the Dixon Greenway toward Waubesa Street via St Paul and Wirth Park and junctions with the Capitol City Trail at the Goodman Atwood Center. That path has been constructed and is in service. The path from Milwaukee to Darbo is under construction but its going to run late.

I thought this was also a barrier to the project. ________________________________________ From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Nelson, Larry [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, October 09, 2008 4:03 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]; [email protected] Subject: RE: [Bikies] WSJ: Starkweather Creek bike trail gets $1.3M federalaward We are well pleased with the approval of the Enhancement funding for 50% of the cost of this project. The construction of this last bridge will complete the bike connection from the Capital City Trail to MATC. We are working on the plans now. Another benefit is to get people closer to Starkweather Creek which in turns generates support for water quality improvement. The support of the Friends of Starkweather Creek was very helpful. And the designation of the No. 1 Priority from the MPO proved essential to obtaining this grant. Thank you. Larry D. Nelson, P.E.
