I've encountered both sequences, - good-yang-bad- of verbal attacks/comments,
and then on the reverse side the humanity of fellow bike riders...I do carry a'
" blackjack" tucked away from view when out riding around some times and have
know individuals to outfit their expensive mt. bikes or road bikes with metal
toothed pedals which can be used as "weapons", as can your bike be used as a
"weapon". The best defense of course is knowing where you are at community wise
and get to know other riders in your area whom travel similar routes as you,
that's the humane side to this everyday possibilities of encounters of the "
wrong" kind... get to know your fellow rider, safety in numbers ..thanks
