Was anyone able to attend this meeting? I biked up & down Badger Rd, after
surviving the ride down Fish Hatch, & wasn't able to find the place. I gave up
because my hands were freezing (accidentally just wore wind stopper gloves w/no
insulation). I made an effort but will have to email my comments, I guess...

Looking at Mapquest again, it must have been that little white building @ the
end of Badger. I didn't see any cars, bikes, or anything else to indicate there
was a mtg! Would have been nice if they'd put up a sign or something.

Aaron

Public information meeting on US 12 improvements in Dane County Dec. 3

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) announced today that
planned improvements to the US 12/Fish Hatchery Road Interchange in Dane County
will be discussed at a public information meeting on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2008.

The meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at the city of Madison Street and
Sanitation Building (1501 W. Badger Road) in Madison.

WisDOT is proposing to reconstruct portions of the US 12 and Fish Hatchery Road
Interchange south of US 12 in Dane County.

Proposed improvements include reconstructing the southbound Fish Hatchery Road
to eastbound US 12 entrance loop ramp and realigning the eastbound US 12 exit
loop ramp to northbound Fish Hatchery Road connection. The improvements also
include minor widening on both sides of Fish Hatchery Road between Greenway
Cross and the US 12 overpass structure and signals at the new ramp connection
with Fish Hatchery Road.

Construction is currently scheduled for 2009.

The Dec. 3 meeting will be conducted in an open house format with a variety of
exhibits and maps available for review. Representatives from WisDOT will be on
hand to answer questions throughout the evening. Attendees will have the option
of making written or verbal comments during the gathering.
