New Years Day Ride. 1pm at the capitol. Capitol City Trail loop if conditions permit, otherwise Monona Lake Loop (short) or Paoli and back (long).

Frozen Lake Ride for Studs, 1pm, Tenney Park date TBA. Ride around the shoreline of Monona or across Mendota. There's got to be a good cafe or bar to ride to somewhere in Middleton, right? Studded tires or football padding recommended.

I wrote in to ask why Madison doesn't appear on the Calendar drop- down menu on the BikeWinter site http://bikewinter.org/
Here is the reply I got from the Webmaster.

"The reason we're not displaying Madison and Ann Arbor in the calendar drop-down menu is that there hasn't been anyone from those cities who have stepped forward to plan events in those cities. If someone from Madison/Ann Arbor (or any other city for that matter) came forward w/ some events, we'd gladly (re-)add them to the calendar dropdown. You're in Madison, right? Are there other winter bike things going on there for BW 2009?"

I reassured him that if Madison were re-listed we would step up and plan/list events. So now it's on us. I already "listed" WAAM's call-in show. It's fun and easy to list an event. Anyone? Bueller?
