First Tom Held, from the Journal-Sentinel posted a link to a video he shot of a brave soul biking in the storm:
Did anybody else give this a go: http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/lifestyle/36448529.html ********* Then someone else posted this reply (Don't they have coffee shops in his part of town?): Re: a tough ride Posted by: "Jason Capriotti" [email protected] jcapriotti1977 Fri Dec 19, 2008 11:55 am (PST) I did. I wanted to work from home but had my coffee beans at work. My car would have gotten stuck... clearly I had only one option. It was pretty rough... tried to stay on the bus routes but still found myself walking about a mile each way of the 8 mile loop to and from work. I'd say what should have taken me 26 minutes for the round-trip took about 60-80 minutes. That included helping a car get on its way. I'd also like to mention some guy yelled "asshole" out the window of his pickup truck near 76th and Green Tree. The funny part is I had pulled off to let traffic pass, so I'm assuming he was talking about himself... :) So yeah... I'm not sure what is worse. Being crazy enough to bike in that snow or addicted to caffeine enough to bike through the snow! Made me wish I would have dropped $200 on a bike-friendly video camera rather than a "still" camera :) - Jason _______________________________________________ Bikies mailing list [email protected] http://lists.danenet.org/listinfo.cgi/bikies-danenet.org
