As a native Memphis cyclist and punk rocker, I just want to say that
this is the best news to come out of Memphis in years. The fact that
the police determined that the sticker was a symbol of a punk band and
decided not to press charges is incredible. Furthermore, this
represents a dramatic step forward in the Memphis cycling community.
That a bicycle is a) so recognizable as to be not confused with an
actual bomb and b) not stolen on first sight or intentionally
destroyed by a motorist is equally astounding.
Makes a guy what to believe that someday there'll actually be bike
lanes there. Sigh, a man can dream, can't he....
