Last week after the $300 mil state highway list went public I called Mark Pocans office to ask:
1) Why there were no bike/transit project in the list (and how this situation arose) 2) What the goals would be of the stimulus budget review committee 3) Why Highway worker jobs were protected. His aide told me they would get back to me, though as of today I have not received a reply. Now that the Governor's "stimulus" bill has been signed into law there is no reason why Pocan shouldn't be able to answer those questions. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Aaron Crandall Sent: Thursday, February 19, 2009 9:02 PM To: bikies Subject: [Bikies] Fw: BFW Agenda Item 2: Increased funding for bicycle andpedestrian infrastructure [SNIP] This is where it's crucial that you contact your elected officials & ask for the funding for such infrastructure. Finally, I'm also seeking that BFW conduct another "lobby day" sometime in the future, which could allow for us to advocate for such funding, etc. _______________________________________________ Bikies mailing list [email protected] http://lists.danenet.org/listinfo.cgi/bikies-danenet.org
