Randy,

That might seem like the big problem to you, but if you think about it, it is
actually the little problem. It's easy to furnish the corrected facts to
people and get them sorted out- and I am all for trying to keep the facts
straight.

I'm not going to tell you what the big problem is... listen to that podcast
again. Let's not confuse the issues here. I know where I stand and I'm not
backing down from the request to WJJO for a retraction, apology, and
committment to do better in the future. Because the podcast was left up for a
year without any context, folks who heard it for the first time yesterday
assumed it was representative of the programming on WJJO. The person lodging
the complaint that is troubling you is a justifiably angered listener and she
is not suggesting any violence or hateful actions. You are not just Randy
Hawke the individual, you are a decision-maker (choosing programming) and
representative of WJJO and we expect you to be responsible for the station's
programming choices.

I appreciate that this is a problem that began in August, and might seem like
water under the bridge to you, but try to imagine someone stumbling upon that
podcast yesterday. As much as it might have been dealt with at WJJO, it
clearly hasn't been completely resolved.

I like your idea of an educational segment coming out of this. I think that
would serve everyone well and would be an opportunity to end on a positive note.
