Is anyone going to the League of American Bicyclists rally in MN? Anyone interested in sharing accommodations, camping, carpooling, riding up there, or other travel arrangements? Winona, MN is just across the river from Trempealeau, WI and Perrot State Park, two of my favorite places. So even if you don't want to go to the rally, I recommend the area. Great River State Trail, Trempealeau National Wildlife Refuge, Mississippi River, and beautiful biking in the bluffs or on the river flood plain are all right there. There are a couple of options for sleeping: camping at the park, a couple of very moderately-priced motels in Trempealeau (and I'm quite cheap), or the historic Trempealeau Hotel. The rally also offers dorm rooms at Winona State University.
